Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in our operations by utilizing heavy machinery to execute various excavation tasks with precision and efficiency. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment while ensuring that all projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators, track loaders, and other heavy equipment.
- Perform site preparation, grading, digging, trenching, backfilling and other excavation tasks.
- Execute excavation tasks according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment.
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure project completion.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an operator.
- Proficiency with various excavation equipment operation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in all weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Possess or able to obtain a Michigan Commercial Driver’s License (A).
- Carry a valid DOT Health Card.
- Pass a background check.

Job Description: Visscher Construction is seeking an experienced and skilled Residential Remodeler to join our team. As a Residential Remodeler, you will be responsible for transforming and enhancing residential properties by executing high-quality remodeling projects. You will work closely with our project management team to ensure that every job is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform residential remodeling tasks such as demolition, framing, drywall installation, plumbing, electrical work, flooring, cabinetry, painting, and finishing.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans to ensure precise execution of remodeling projects.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure project timelines and budget are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining positive relationships with homeowners, addressing any concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Measure, cut, and install materials with precision to meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to building codes and regulations. Assist in managing materials and inventory for each job site, ensuring that all supplies are readily available and properly stored.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste materials from job sites.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a residential remodeler, carpenter, or in a similar construction role.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction techniques and building codes.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment commonly used in residential remodeling projects.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 80 lbs.).
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting.
- Comfort working in various weather conditions and at heights.
